Not the usual RH bill

The RH bill is the most popular political issue in the country. The usual issues related to it are the use of contraceptives and the access to sex education. Treatment on abortion complication is not usually discussed in debates concerning the bill. However, it is also attacked by the Church. their main concern is that the abortion rate might increase if the bill is passed. No matter what happens, abortion will always be present and the rate night be high. The problem is that not all women who have undergone abortion is going to admit they had it, because of public ridicule. If they pass the bill, with the rule of treating abortion patients, many more will survive physically and mentally.

  1. The very word "political" signifies that the Church has no right to be a hindrance for the passing of the bill. The RH Bill is essential for the progress of our country. Abortion can be labeled as "evil" but I think not giving services to those in need is even more evil than the devil himself. The poor needs guidance (Sec. 16 of RH Bill). They need protection (contraceptives). And they need services whether they have committed an evil act or not.

  5. RH Bill is not an Abortion bill.. it is simply educating us about the choices we can have. Some people are so narrow-minded to even listen to what the bill is. THE FILIPINOS NEED TO BE EDUCATED.

  6. I think that some Filipinos have closed their minds too much about this issue and in the process isolating the RH bill as a religious concern. The issue itself should be viewed in the socio-economic aspect... population control, poverty, etc...

  7. I think if there's a word to describe our country, it would be "backwards". We think that being conservative makes us so moral but it is actually just making us suffer the consequences of our lack of education and sense of responsibility. If this country wants to progress, then the church should stay away from the government like how it is stated in the constitution.

  8. In my opinion, I believe the RH bill should be passed because majority of the Filipino people seem uneducated and unaware when it comes to "responsibility". Thus if they are educated, they may be able to prevent further unnecessary "accidents". However, I fear that some might perceive the bill as a means to resort to abortion. Personally, I am against abortion and I believe that people should not use it as a resort when "accidents" occur. They should take the responsibility that has been given to them, since the fetus has the same right to life as the parents. Thus, instead of resorting to abortion, they should plan ahead and secure themselves before engaging in the act of "pro-creation".

  9. For me, i think the RH bill should be implemented to prevent overpopulation in the Philippines. Children suffers a lot because some does not have the opportunity to have education because of lack of money.
